Compliance Standards

Safety & Security Protocols

security Electrical Safety

Mandatory PAT and Earth Bond testing on every unit before dispatch, ensuring compliance for schools and public venues.

lock Data Security

GDPR-compliant handling of media servers and playout rigs. Client data is strictly siloed and wiped from test benches.

science ESD Standards

Workshops compliant with ANSI/ESD S20.20 protocols to prevent latent static damage to sensitive DSP and FPGA components.

recycling Sustainability

"Zero to Landfill" commitment. We harvest viable components from BER units to extend the lifecycle of legacy fleets.

Engineering Expertise

The Science of Restoration

Modern AV equipment relies on complex interplay between optics, thermal dynamics, and firmware. Our repair methodology addresses the physics of failure.

Laser Phosphor Engines

While marketed as "solid state," laser projectors are susceptible to specific degradation modes. The most common is Phosphor Wheel decay. The high-energy blue laser eventually burns tracks into the phosphor coating.

3LCD Optical Alignment

In 3LCD systems (Epson, Panasonic, NEC), the light is split into RGB paths. The most frequent failure is Polariser Burn. Organic polarising filters degrade under UV and heat, turning yellow or brown.

Panel alignment using precision jigs to eliminate colour fringing.

DLP & DMD Architecture

Digital Micromirror Devices (DMD) are mechanical marvels, but they suffer from "Stuck Pixels" (white or black dots) when micromirrors seize. In single-chip DLP units, the Colour Wheel is a failure point.

Common Error Codes & Indicators

Brand / Tech Indicator Code Engineering Diagnosis & Probable Cause
Panasonic TEMP (Red Flash) Thermal Throttle. Intake filters are blocked, or the ambient temperature exceeds 35°C. Check the "Status" menu for specific fan RPM dropouts.
Sony (SXRD) 3 Red Blinks Cover/Lamp Driver. Either the lamp door microswitch is physically misaligned, or the Lamp Driver voltage rail is unstable.
Epson Auto Iris Error Mechanical Jam. The dynamic iris gears are clogged with dust or lubricant has dried out. Requires strip-down and re-lubrication.
Christie System Error 14 Ballast Comms. The mainboard cannot communicate with the lamp ballast. Often caused by a voltage spike on the UART line.
Optoma Lamp + Power LEDs Colour Wheel Failure. The index sensor cannot detect the wheel spinning. Listen for a high-pitched whine.
Barco Liquid Cooling Warn Pump Failure/Leak. Coolant levels are low or the pump impeller has seized. Immediate shutdown required.

blur_on The "White Dot" Issue

Symptom: White or black speckles resembling a starfield.
Cause: DMD Chip failure. Micromirrors are stuck.
Fix: Requires chip replacement.

palette Purple/Yellow Tint

Symptom: Uneven colour blobs or yellow tint.
Cause: Polariser degradation in LCD units.
Fix: Replacement of optical filters.

power_off Shutdown after 1 Min

Symptom: Unit boots, fans spin loud, then shuts down.
Cause: Fan tachometer failure.
Fix: Identify and replace the specific seized fan.

Process & Logistics

Logistics & FAQ

We understand that sending expensive equipment for repair requires trust. We have streamlined our logistics to be secure and transparent.

local_shipping
How do I ship my item?
We offer a "Secure Box" service with custom foam. You pack, we collect.
